When looking to build our new home, we spoke to several builders but after speaking with Norm Wales Constructions, we were convinced this was the company that would deliver us a quality home on schedule. Norm told us the build would be scheduled and run like clockwork, and that is exactly what we experienced. Our interactions with various trades and suppliers confirmed that this is how Norm Wales operates every single time.We had a particular design and look were were after and are delighted that our final house matches our dream. Our experience with the Norm Wales team was outstanding, from the initial design work with Peter to our interactions with Michelle and Charlotte during the build. Norm's team are professional, responsive, and great communicators.We were fortunate to live close to the build site and can confirm that Norm was frequently onsite, checking the progress and quality of every stage of the build. Norm told us once that he keeps extra ice in bags in his fridge in case guests come over and his fridge dispenser runs out. We began the building process with Norm when living overseas. He was the only builder to contact us personally within a very short time over the phone. Norm made us feel at ease immediately face to face and supported our vision on the plans we had drawn with great enthusiasm.Suppliers also spoke very highly of working with Norm which gave us confidence that we had chosen the right builder.We felt that above all else, Norm is well organised and has enormous attention to detail. We always felt supported when making choices and in particular, Norm and Michelle gave honest opinions as to what they felt would work well and what could perhaps be a better choice for our home.Once Norm began the job, it felt to us that is went very quickly and smoothly. His building team onsite were exceptionally polite and we really enjoyed the interaction with them.Each time we were onsite during the build, you could literally feel how much effort Norm had personally poured into building our home.The weekly update via email made us feel part of the team and brought us up to speed with where we were at and what to expect the following week. We would recommend anyone looking for a builder to contact Norm Wales Constructions. We contacted a number of builders in Bundaberg but from the moment we sat down with Norm we felt confident that we had found our builder. Norm is passionate and professional as is the rest of the team. Peter helped us with the plans and was incredibly patient. Michelle is a delight and was always helpful and answered all our questions promptly. In fact the whole team are awesome. Norm provided us with a schedule at the beginning of the build and we really appreciated having the opportunity to do walk throughs and meet the trades. Such an Amazing start to our journeyRetirement plan in action, we purchased a great block only a 10min walk from the beach. Block secured and land Title received- we now needed a local builder to take on the task to build our new home, with the added challenge, we live a four-and-a-half-hour drive away from our newly purchased block.We Googled local builders and called a couple that reviewed well, leaving answer phone messages to call back when available. We weren’t expecting any replies as it was a Sunday – then a few minutes later Norm Wales, of Norm Wales Constructions sent me a text apologising for missing the call and would call back in 10mins. We were amazed.Sure enough, 10 mins later Norm was calling back- and straight after that initial call with Norm- we both knew that this was the Builder that was going to bring our retirement plan to life. So passionate, knowledgeable and professional. It was just the way he made us feel, easy, in making one of the biggest decisions of our life, entrusting someone with our life savings, to realise our dream, which we had worked so hard for.Norm scheduled a meeting to discuss our plans, our must haves, our maybes and the outline of our Custom design home began to form. This was great- Someone that was actually listening to what we had to say (a rare quality these days) yet offering advice and options along the way that could save us money and keep us close to our budget.My wife drew up a plan of our Custom home and after a few adjustments and tweaks with some great advice from Norm and from Draughtsman, Peter Arnold, our Custom- build- home- drawing-plan was finalised and signed. The great communication and rapid responses from Norm’s Team are outstanding. This really is Customer Centric at its best.The amazing journey just keeps getting better - We have just completed the selection process organised and scheduled by Michelle Wales, upbeat, positive, always happy and supportive.We were really excited - we had meetings with the Cabinet maker (exceptional), The Flooring Company, The Tiling company, Appliance suppliers, Tapware & bathroom Supplier, doors windows, paints etc to make all our selections- and each and every one of them, made us feel special, gave great advice and were so helpful. This was shaping into a great experience indeed.From these selection appointments with each supplier, I picked up on one of Norms secrets of success- Set the bar high and surround yourself with great people, who are talented, great at their jobs and completely Customer focused, and they will take you there.Another thing I noted from all the Suppliers- they all mentioned the high bench mark Norm sets for them and his expectations for them to deliver to his set schedules – You can easily see from the outset how super-organised and passionate Norm is - and I completely believe -He builds every home as if it were his own.After our selections were made, Michelle was quick to follow up with all her suppliers and send us the adjusted building contract with rebates and variances from our selections, followed by the schedule of works for our new Custom home. If you want great communication, rapid responses and ACTION, Norm Wales Construction is way out in front.At a time when people are so quick to moan and complain- I really want everyone to know of the great experience we are having to date with the Norm Wales Team - I want to shout from the roof top that’s not built yet, what an amazing journey we have started on and we can’t wait for the rest of the ride, the slab gets started next month- the very foundation of our dreams.Bring it on Norm Wales, we feel truly blessed, we found the best!James & Pia Masonread more

We have undertaken a new house build in one of the most difficult periods in history, which includes the COVID 19 pandemic, an associated rise in demand for builders in many areas and frequent material cost increases.Having built six years ago, with a large volume builder on the Sunshine Coast, we found it a refreshing experience to deal with Norm Wales Constructions, where service is on a more personalised level.When we walked into Norm’s office in January 2021 to discuss a potential project at Moore Park Beach there was an immediate interest in what we wanted to build and our desired timeframe for completion. Norm and Michelle have been great to work with from start to finish. We needed a custom designed home in a certain timeframe and Norm was 100% up front and on the ball from the first phone call. I feel very grateful that I chose Norm Wales Constructions to build my new home this year.Initially, although I was very excited, I was also very apprehensive about building a brand new home by myself.Norm and his very experienced team guided me through the whole process step and step in a very organised, friendly. positive family oriented environment. After phoning a number of builders regarding my bathroom upgrade, and finding none were interested, I phoned Norm Wales Constructions,and hit pay dirt. Norm came round a couple of days later and assured me that no job was too big, or more importantly, too small. We decided to build our holiday home at Woodgate Beach with Norm Wales Construction after meeting with two builders and we felt Norm was the right person for the job.From our first meeting we then moved to signing a contract and progressing with the building. The building process was stress free and we were kept up to date with weekly progress reports. These progress reports where a great benefit to us as we were in Brisbane for most of the process only being on site three times during the build.A major concern to us was if we could get the house finished before Christmas and as I am sitting on the deck writing this Testimonial, Norm and his team stuck to a difficult schedule to enable us to enjoy our beautiful new beach house over Christmas.We would like to thank Norm, his team and subcontractors for the quality of work and attention to detail and providing us with a product they should all be proud of.Tim & Carol Laneread more

Our build with Norm Wales ConstructionsMy wife and I have visited Woodgate many times over the years and finally got the opportunity to purchase a block of land. The next step was to find a quality builder. We spoke to several builders including Norm Wales Constructions.It started with a phone call to Norm and then a visit to his office. We sat down with Norm and discussed what we were hoping to achieve on our block and we were not disappointed. We asked Norm if he would come to Woodgate to see if everything we wanted to achieve was possible, he was more than happy to. Norm developed a layout that took into account the best use of our land to get our dream home/shed and of course our budget. We loved it.We were given a schedule for the build and every date was met. Norm's professionalism and attention to detail was top notch.Norm's employees and sub contractors were second to none. We were able to talk to Norm anytime to discuss any enquiry we had big or small and it was never a problem to give us as much time as we needed. All the trades that worked on our house were very polite and courteous and were more than happy to give any advice we asked of them.Having worked in construction myself as a tradie for 40 odd years, I know quality finishes and we certainly have quality finishes that I believe are second to none.The best decision we have made with regard to building a home was to build with Norm Wales Constructions and highly recommend if anyone wanting to build in Woodgate/Bundaberg or surrounding areas we don't think you could do better. We all know building and planning can be stressful, but we can honestly say we avoided all that due to Norm delivering on all of his promises. When we were thinking of building a new house, we weren’t sure who we were going to use, so whilst researching local builders and designs etc, we came across Norm Wales Constructions. My wife and I had our own design and so I sent him a quick email to ask for some information. Later that day Norm called me and we had a good discussion about our expectations, so a few months later we bought a vacant block, and started the process with Norm and his team. We had built a new home in W.A with a large company and once we signed the contract, that was it until handover. It was very different with Norm wales, we were made to feel a part of the process, we were treated with respect, and he was very understanding of our needs and ideas. We had constant updates on progress, and had walk throughs at every stage with the trades people. Norms scheduling of trades was exceptionally good, and all the trades people were polite, helpful and of the highest standards.I could call Norm at any time and discuss things, including changes we wanted. He always had the time to speak with me and answer my emails. I could always contact the office and speak with Peter, he too was always helpful and reassuring.The house itself is exceptionally well built, faultless in fact, which is a credit to the trades people, the team, and of course to Norm.
