As every home we build is custom designed, there is no one price that suits everyone. The cost of your home will depend on its size and layout, your block, the materials and finishes you choose, and any upgrades beyond our standard inclusions.

We don't quote a flat rate per square metre, as it can be misleading when every site and design is different. The best way to get a realistic figure is to sit down with us and talk through what you have in mind. Once we understand your plans, your site and your priorities, we can provide a guide to work from, and your pricing will become more accurate as your design develops.

Yes. Your priorities and budget guide our design process from our very first conversation. We will always be open with you about what is achievable, and where changes to the size, layout or finishes of your home could help.

Our Design Library features a range of single and double-storey homes, available to download directly from our website. If you have trouble downloading, we're happy to email the plans to you.

Keep in mind that our designs are simply a starting point for inspiration. As a custom home builder, you're not limited to our existing plans. We can work with you to create a completely personalised design that reflects your lifestyle, preferences and budget.

We've never built the same home twice, as every home is designed to your individual lifestyle.

We guide you through every stage, from your first enquiry and meeting, through the preliminary stage, concept design, final plans and your quotation, to your fixed-price contract, approvals and selections, construction and handover. You will always know what is happening next.

Yes. Once your plans are finalised and quoted, you will sign a Master Builders fixed-price building contract, securing your price before construction begins.

Absolutely. Many of our clients come to us before they have purchased land. Knowing what you would like to build can help you choose a block that suits both your plans and your budget.

We don't have a display home, as every home we build is individually designed to suit our clients' needs, lifestyle & priorities . Having never built the same home twice, a single display home wouldn't truly reflect the variety of designs and possibilities we offer.

Instead, we're more than happy to share photos and plans of our completed projects, giving you a better understanding of our workmanship, attention to detail and the homes we can create.

Yes. We design and build granny flats and secondary dwellings. Let us know about your block and what you have in mind, and we will talk you through your options.

Yes. We are happy to review your existing plans and provide pricing guidance. If your plans need adjusting to suit your block or your needs, our drafting team can take care of any modifications for you.

Yes. We offer a free, no-obligation Discovery Session where you can meet with our team, discuss your ideas and ask any questions about the design process, costs and timelines.

Meetings can be held in person at our Bundaberg office, over the phone or via video call, with limited Saturday appointments also available. Please contact our office if you wish to schedule an appointment with us.

Once a week is the bare minimum of direct contact we provide during the construction phase – we encourage you to meet with us as often as possible to ensure that all aspects of the job are going correctly. The best results are achieved when we work together toward a common goal – in this case a beautiful new home, shed or deck.

We use our professional judgement, earned over our many years in the industry, to carefully screen any contractors involved in the project we are undertaking for you.

We have built trusting relationships with some great contractors out there, and have also learned how to detect and avoid the not-so-great ones.

Yes, depending on the size of the project.

A deposit will be necessary for us to arrange for the draftsperson to distill your vision into functional, realistic plans. We assure you that the cost of doing this is more than worth it in the long term.

We have select draftspeople we work with on our projects, all of whom come highly regarded and have great track records.

You can rest assured knowing that your new plans or any modifications made to existing plans are being seen to by capable professionals. Whatever the field, we only work with the best.

All aspects of your project are covered in your detailed quote, including materials, expected man-hours, allowances, and sub-contractors.

Any fees beyond this, such as drafting and design, are covered prior to or on top of the approved quote. In instances of fewer materials, hours or the like being involved, refunds will be given.

On average, without any delays or changes, the drafting, planning, assessment and testing phase of the project will take upward of 4 weeks.

The key thing to note is, as we said, that this time period is dependent on there being no excess changes at this point in time. Nothing at this stage is finalised until you have settled on what exactly is being built.

There is no absolute when it comes to this question. What we can say is that on average, without any delays and under normal circumstances, it can take anywhere from 12 to 14 weeks to complete the construction phase of any new home project.

If there are any delays due to weather or other unforeseen problems, we will do all we can to make up for lost time without any loss of quality or efficiency.
